Annual safety training for workers
Once a year every worker takes safety training again — even someone who has worked there for twenty years. The annual refresher is the part most easily forgotten: workers start on different dates, and shifts never meet in one room.
What the law asks
Under Israel's Organisation of Labour Inspection (Provision of Information and Training of Workers) Regulations, 1999, a worker is trained before starting work, when something material changes in their work, and at least once a year. The annual refresher applies to every worker, and fits the risks of their job.
What a general annual safety training covers
The general training covers what every worker on site needs to know, for example:
- Slips, trips and falls
- Electrical safety
- Fire, fire prevention and using an extinguisher
- Ergonomics and sitting well
- What to do in an emergency — missile fire and earthquake
- First aid
- Entering the plant floor and the warehouse
A worker whose job has risks of its own — a forklift operator, a warehouse worker, a maintenance worker — also takes their job's training.
How to miss no one
When every worker started on a different date, their refresher falls on a different date too. Instead of chasing lists:
- Every work certificate has an expiry date, set the moment the worker signed.
- 30 days before it expires, the worker appears on the officer's refresher list, and a worker with an e-mail address also gets a reminder.
- The worker takes the refresher on their phone, when it suits the shift — without stopping the line.
What to show at an audit
A picture of every worker: who is valid, whose certificate is about to expire and who has not trained yet. And for every worker — the training, the language it was taken in, the date, the next refresher and their signature.
How LomdaSafe helps
- A ready general annual training in nine languages — part of the free plan too.
- Trainings by job, assigned to every worker by their job.
- A question after every topic and an explanation after every answer — nobody fails.
- A signed work certificate with an expiry date, and a refresher list 30 days ahead.
